i lost my stop button on limewire thanks 2 a friend :@ any ideas how 2 get it bk

It could be due to the window overlapping it. drag the partition up so you can see it. Or try these: Drag window paritition up (click on link) image example.

Two options: 1. Click on the small arrows on the LW main window. If that doesn't work click the other arrow. 2. Drag the partition up or sideways; see examples here: Example A (click on link) & also Example B (click on link) (click on arrows to show single window)
Else, close LW & delete the LW preferences Fixes for Limewire
