Why are the mp3 files I download turning into m3u files when I go to save them?

Because you shouldn't save them as__. After downlding they'll be moved from kyour incomplete folder to your downld folder which by default is: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared

But you can get quick & easy access to your downlded mp3's by: -> Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) The folder will open up for you & you can move them where ever you desire. :) :cool:

(If you add the songs to your playlist, then you have the option to save as m3u which is a playlist file only. But that's only if you want to preserve the playlist order. Remember, if you move a song after adding it to any playlist, it won't be found & the playlist won't work.)

Well, if all the mp3's are still in the same location as originally made as m3u playlists then you can burn them, add them to playlist players such as wmp, etc. But, I'd advise you move all your music from the downld folder to the Music folder. Then there won't be any confusion or possible loss of files. I hope you didn't delete those song files from the downld folder after you saved them as mu files. If you did you'll need to redownld them. If not, then move them as suggested. m3u files are useless unless the original files are located identically as before when the playlist was saved.
