Can I copy the downloaded mp3 files in the shared folder to my music folder without screwing anything up? Or can I just move them? I have some new different files to move in also- can I just copy them to the shared folder? I want to move them so I can share them over my network at home and the limewire shared file isn't one that is shared on the network.

The easy answer is to make your Music folder also a share folder. See How to Share Folders (click on link)
In that way you can cut & paste or drag & drop from the downld folder to the Music folder without too much concern. But perhaps if you do it whilst LW is still open, then go to LW's Library window & press the Refresh button so no one uploading is confused. Their downlds will probably still pick up from where they were. (Fingers crossed lol )
