Anyone know why my lw shows that I am sharring a small amount files when I have my sharred files set to a specific folder and I have my sharring turned off.....Have no idea where this folder is at.....

It might be sharing partial downlds (aka incomplete files) which helps othr people downld faster. LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Uploads>Basic & Allow Partial Sharing.

Other than this, your shared files & folders are listed in the LW Library window "excluding" the Saved Files folder (& incomplete folder if partial file sharing it turned off.)

Also Tools>Options>Sharing will list your shared folders.

how do you turn off sharing ?

Go to the locations I said above & remove the shared folders & tick disable partial filesharing. You can also go to LW's Lib window & right-click any of the folders & choose stop sharing.
Well if nobody shared their files, then there's be nothing for you to downld. People who don't share are called freeloaders.

Why don't you want to share any of your files? I only have two files left in my LimeWire(I had to burn my songs onto discs) but at least I'm sharing them.

I do realize that people on dial-up need to limit there bandwidth but there is no reason to be a Leach and not share..........
