Default deleting files

When you delete files where do they go? I have noticed that they are not going to my recycle bin. I do not want all this stuff to sit on my computer and slow it down.

When you delete files from LimeWire they are permanently deleted. They don't go to the Recycle Bin.

I was merely telling Coastal what has been told to me. If you don't agree with it then take it up with the LimeWire developers.

If someone really wanted those files back all they would have to do is perform a system restore on their computer.

if you really want them off of your HDD, then instead of using LW to delete them, you should use an erasing utility that actually overwrites the data...

LW just removes them from available use by the OS, the data is still on your HDD

Smile erasing files permanently

Peerless...please, can you walk me through how to permanently delete files? You mentioned you can do it through a utility. Please can you provide directions?
