![]() um <slightly confused> There are some hosts with 168 prefixes and others like 10 pefix which are not true ip numbers, but they work just as well as any in my experience. Or do you mean the hosts who push out the iPod ads and the crappy links and the viruses, so forgive my greying moment for not quite following you ![]() |

![]() Whoops .. dunno what happenned to my reply. Basically I said you cannot tell much about their ips. They change all the time. The blocks of junk files and the small little beggars are the ones to avoid. I have a big list of recently banned hosts, and I see very little pattern in the ips |

![]() wondering why, the easiest way to tell is by their speed and if they are sharing all the wonderful small file sizes that turnout to be trojans/viruses/worms/spam, usually T1 and especially T3's and or higher and even modems. I only try to dl from my fellow cable users. if you browse a host and you size it riddled with generated trojans then you will know that is pobably a fake. ![]() |
