 mp4 video is mpeg4. So they'll have an extension such as mpg or mpeg. Problem is it's hard to know whether they are mpeg 1, 2 or 4 before you downld them. There are vid's that use just the mp4 extension. But I suspect (I'm not sure) that it's similar to how mp4 audio is basically the same as m4a. The only differences being between different brands of softw their naming of the extensions & very small variations in their version of the codec. Perhaps AVC hasn't become so popular yet. A matter of time I guess. I think Sony is in the bad books at present. Rootkits *** WARNING ***
