as mentioned in one of the above sticky topics the network is flooded with these bogus virus zip files.

i`ve tried filtering by typing the filesize in but no go.

can anyone advise me on a way to get rid of these things in my search results as they are so common now limewire is getting to be hardly worth using for certain types of file.

A new Beta version has been just released. It incorporates a Spam filter. I have not tried it, but I suggest you give it a try. Go to the download page and you will find a Beta available button. Any thoughts you have on it will be welcomed.

the spam filter appears to be a useful item at first glance...but once you mark an item as "spam" it just hides it.

what is needed in my humble opinion is the facility to be able to filter by filesize so that your results include all the good stuff and no spam... hope this makes sense.

your valuable searches are still used up hunting these bogus files down so in a way its has very limited use indeed...it just means that i dont have to look at all that rubbish ...
