hi everone out there i have a ? does anyone know what is a (rar) file and how can i get it to work caues i download a virus program but its in a file name rar i dont know how to install or what to do with it

1. WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! (click on link)

2. TUGZip (click on link) does everything winzip & winrar can do but more. And it's free. It can compress all those formats. But a word of advice, don't let it be the default of any format. It's a PITA when you do. It changes the icon image of any file that falls within that format.

3. RAR = http://filext.com/detaillist.php?ext...&Search=Search

Gotta be fast grandpa!!! lol When I said be wary of default for TUGzip, ... my LW now has a TUGzip icon lol

Hey Grandpa where does the fastest swimmer in the world come from? Thorpedo give you any clue

Oh & BTW the ashes are returning here very soon. lol

Last I heard the paki's thrashed the ' in the recent one day series.

Yeah the older I get the slower I get, At least that is what my wife says.

Just downloaded TUGzip, it appears to be a pretty good program gotta play with it for awhile see if I can break it.

You know LOTR is the fastest linker on the forum?

and you cant break tugzip. lol.

I use it for everything but, beware of faulty zips/rars & it doesnt open ISO files.

Actually I think this summer (our time) the ashes themselves are coming here for a visit. Only the 2nd time ever & the 1st time in 30 yrs ... last time during the centenary.

Tugzip doesn't open ISO files? Oh well, I'm sure both Nero & Roxio can. After all, ISO are cd image files.

No, you have to use WinISO or ISO Buster.

You can make ISO with Nero but, not sure if you can open them with Nero.
