![]() i have searched the forums and have seen everyone wanting to turn off autocomplete. my question is how do i use it? after i type in a letter or two and then try to finish the search querry with autocomplete i can't seem to figure it out. what am i doing wrong? |

![]() You have 3 options. Type in the 1st one or few characters of a previous search & autocomplete will fill the rest. Or clear it. Or not use autocomplete. In the example below, you can choose option 2 which is autocomplete. Else choose option 1 which is manual input. Option 3 is clear previous search history which can be handy if you've had a lot of similar varied searches that start with the same letters. Or you simply want to remove previous autocomplete history. I also like using autocomplete. If you want to vary the search title, then change the part you wish & autocomplete will also remember that. So as soon as you reach that part of the search title in the next search it will also be auto-completed. As Only A Hobo was refering to, on the older versions, you only had one option. You either had autocomplete enabled or didn't. ie: via LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>View>Autocomplete. |
