Unhappy trouble playing songs in a media device

I have windows media player and the songs that i download from Limewire used to play through it. For some reason they stopped playing through it, and now i have no way to burn my songs onto a cd or put into a mp3 player. does anyone know whyit stopped working or how i can change it so that they play throuhg WMP again?

ok here is a better question- How do I search for just songs compatible with Windows Media Player? Is there a way that I can change Limewire so that it only brings up WMP files when i search?

Do you use the Describe button in the LW Library window? If yes, don't. WMP doesn't like it. That's why the mp3's will no longer play in wmp. You'd need another player to play them. But you should be able to burn them fine if using another burner program like nero or roxio. Even iTunes.

If you only want to find wma files, then put .wma at the end of the title in your search.

What you could try is removing those songs from wmp's playlist & then re-adding them. It prolly won't work but worth a try.
