I was thinking about downloading limewire but I had a quick question. Will Limewire install spyware/adware etc... to my PC? I have used Bearshare in the past and it install various popups and things like that to my PC. Will Limewire do the same? thanks

Both Bearshare Lite & LimeWire are safe from spyware or adware. But I would recommend getting real spyware programs & not some of these out of date utility programs that can do your computer damage. For tips on which utilities to get, see WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! (click on link) & you'll see links for utilities you should get for your protection. eg: Spybot was given the full clearance & full points by the spyware forum. Whereas there's too many others out there which don't work properly or have spyware themselves or are scam versions, etc. So choose your spyware program with care. We recommend what we know works & is safe, etc.

Thank you so much for the info. I have heard good reviews about Limewire. I got a new pc and I dont want it getting in bad shape like the old one. What I'll do is get a good spyware program before I install everything. Thanks again
