![]() I hope this is the right forum for this question. If it isnt, I apologize. I was running Limewire successfuly, until my PC crashed and I defragged. Limewire wouldnt open after that, and I reinstalled it. Limewire now runs, BUT, I now download at an average of 10-20 kbs, rather than the 150-200kps I used to get. In the lower left hand corner, it shows as being disconnected. Before the reinstall, it showed "turbo". I also got a message regarding a "firewall". My system: Windows XP Media Center, 60Gb HD. 512Mb Ram. Norton Antivirus, (configured to allow Limewire), Limwire Pro 4.9.27. I have Emule installed on my machine, and it was not affected by the crash/defrag. Any suggestions as to how I could get Limewire back to performing as it had been, would be greatly appreciated. Thank You |

![]() Disable your XP firewall if you haven't already. XP & Norton FW's tend to clash with each other & cause problems & also can result in less security. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.) |
