Upgrade Free 6 Months Or Less - BUT What If Over 6 Months Limewire Prompts you to upgrade for free if you purchased Limewire Pro in the last 6 months! If you have never paid for Limewire you can "Get PRO for a single payment of only $18.88" As I paid "Order Placed: 04-Jan-05 06:00 PM Shipping Amount: $0.00 Amount of Transaction: $38.50 Payment Type: VISA" I would have hoped an upgrade would have cost me less than someone who has never paid before! All attempts to upgrade lead me to either a full payment page, or the less than 6 months screen which refuses to recognise the EMail address which Limewire sent all the original details of my purchase to. Is there a cheap option by some other route? |
Sounds like you got scammed. There's only one place to get Pro and is: www.limewire.com. IT IS only 18.88 usa dollars, 6 months free. I suggest you cancel that transaction asap. It shouldnt be 38 dollars to renew. Not to my knowledge. It should only be another 18.88. |
I Bought It From Limewire Scammed ? I Bought it from Limewire.com The Emails came from sales@Limewire.com The CD and and info came through the post from Limewire it all looks pretty kosher to me! It just seems that the 6 months and less dialogue screen does not recognise purchased 12 months ago! |
umm, ok, you got a CD from Limewire???? You didnt do the download from the site? |
PM mformel with your info and details. Limewire has a habit of not responding to emails. |
Concepts behingd Limewire possibly elude me Yes I have my current installation from CD - I took a basic free trial online, then bought Limewire Pro from Limewire.Com, waited for the hard copy to arrive and installed it. But what I do not grasp is the exact meaning of a "once and only payment". I appreciate that when you buy software advertised as such, the white heat of technology's cutting edge moves on and newer versions and upgrades can cost development money that require an upgrade fee - because the product is perhaps no longer the same product that you paid alifetime usage fee for. BUT BUT BUT Surely, any company would respect it's loyal customer base to offer a cheaper upgrade route than the cost to totally new users? |
Sorry - I am new to this jargon - ? pm mformel ? what is that? |
