Default Burning my mp3s to disk, Not alphabetically

I have all my songs that I want to listen on my shared folder in Limewire.

When I go to Roxio to burn them and mix them all up so they are not alphabetically, they always turn up recording alphabetically.

Is there a trick to burn them so they are not in any order at all, just random order?

I have tried many times to mix them up. Mp3s that is. If I burn them as a regular song that is not mp3 then I can move them around but only get around 17 songs per disk.

I want mp3 on cd in my own order that I can choose.

All you have to do is rename your MP3s with preceding numbers, e.g. my song renamed to 01 my song, good tune renamed to 02 good tune and so on.

I tried the numbering starting with 1,2,3 and had to change it to 01, 02, 03 and there is a jumping of numbers around 10 -11.

It goes something like this 10, 101, 102 and then at 20 it goes to 201.

Something like that. I am not at the computer right now to check but it does jump something like that.

Maybe I should go like this: 001, 002, 003 instead.
Lots of work to keep renaming them.

You can mix them up by going like this:
Neil Young and
Young, Neil

Or using the word, The or without The like:
The Doors to:
Doors

That is why I suggested 01, 02. 03 and so on to precede the names of your MP3 files because with this method you can continue renaming until you reach 99. Or if you start from 00 to 99 you will have 100 MP3 files on your CD.

Again, if you start from 000 to 999 likewise you will have 1000 sequentially renamed MP3 files available.

Now, I realise that renaming files one at a time is a pain but if you go over to Zdnet.com you will find "file renaming" utilities which you can download and use during the "free trial" period.
