hello im using the basic of LimeWire and want to upgrade it to PRO but is it worth it?? i dont want to buy it when its almost the same as the basic one........please does anyone got answers to if its totally worth it or not and what exactly is the difference i mean yeah it says faster downloads but how fast??

Many people have different oppinions on weather to upgrade to Pro or not....
Pro doesn't always mean faster downloads, that depends on your internet service....
Pro will however connect you to more hosts 10 is the number I think for Pro, were as its 8 for Basic....
Pro will give you better search results...
Pro gives you 6 months of free upgrades....
So they are some of the advantages of Pro, the choice is yours, if your not happy with the Basic version upgrade....

Yes pro has some advantages but the average user won't notice the difference. The differences are not dramatic. It's more of a donation to the continuation of the development of LW open source. Since it's their code that is shared in the open community ...

Advantages ... can potentially downld from 10 hosts instead of 8 for basic. Can connect to 5 peers instead of 3 which allows better searches for the rarer material. More consistent search results due to the turbo connection. But when used for searching & downlding the common files, most people might not notice any difference.

What I did mean was the £11.00 it costs for PRO from the Limewire Website gives you not only PRO for ever but also 6 months of support and upgrades, that works out at less than £2.00 a month.

I think thats a bargin to support a great product.
