Vidoes will not play

My question concerns downloaded videos, and simply they will not play, I also cannot preview them.

Audio files work fine.

I would alos like to mention the traffic cone next to the video, does this indicate a problem?

Possibly your player needs extra codecs to play these files. A lot of people use VLC as it's free & comes with built in codecs. See here:

As for the traffic cone...not a clue:D

My VLC Media Player desktop icon is a little traffic cone. Not sure if it's relevant.
