![]() Ok, now that that's cleared up... When I download the LimeWire Installer, how come it's an exe? To my understanding Java apps can only be exes if they are compiled to native code with something like GCJ. GCJ completely defeats the portability aspect of Java. :/ Is it actually an executable .jar or something, how exactly does the installer work? |

![]() Installer? I think you mean rather that little exe file you're using to launch LimeWire!? It's just a customized version of SUN's javaw(.exe) and its only purpose is to start the JVM and pass the LimeWire specific parameters to it. |
