ok thank you for letting me know...my question is in sept last year i signed up for lime wire and i paid $22.36 (it should have been more but i got some kind of discount) lifetime membership...so last nyte im checking things out and i see that limewire is free if you want the pro version then it is $18.88 ...so im just wondering why i had to pay money for a version that is free...my confirmation email came from musicmemebersarea and i can not get on to their website ....have i got ripped off ?? or do i have things totally confused ?? of have things just changed ? would be really gratefull for any knowledge on this .

You have been scammed. Basic LW is free, Pro costs US$18.88 for 6 months of email support & upgrades. Read this, it'll make things clearer:

Contact your CC company & try to get your money back. Even though you paid a while ago, you've only just become aware of the fraud. They might be able to help you out;)
