I am listening to rock music not a symphony so the sound quality will be more raw anyway which is what I like. A lot of music now is OVER produced. I like 'The White Stripes' because their music sounds raw.

When you're getting bootlegs of concert performances that have not been released on cd and probably never will be (except for Hendrix... his family appears to be trying to release everything he ever recorded no matter how bad the quality might be) then the quality is not great to begin with.

As for sharing originals, I would not waste my time making an M4a (using itunes) from a cd and then converting it to an mp3 so no worries there. (hint)

Default a question, Lord...

that conversion business.. loss of quality.
does that include automatic conversion by the media player?

ie: when i download m4a, aac, wma, etc, import to realplayer & burn to cd. it converts all to mp3. or, is it just manually converting like in i-tunes (..Hobo)?

p.s. got all security squared away, and new router set up.
