my limewire has been running very slow on my computer...every other program on my computer works fine....i have enough space on my disk and my ram also has enough space...i tired re-installing limewire but i still got the same proplem....any ideas?

same for me, the torrent extractor on limewire is completely screwed its giving me an estmated waiting time of 5 weeks 2 days and 3 hours for a 39mb file. I would say limewire are doing this delebrately to make you buy their pro package

Gads .. don't use LW for torrents. Use a genuine Torrent program which is designed specifically for the purpose. LW's torrent tools are limited & not accepted in many circles of the torrent world which will refuse LW users to download from them.

I'd recommend either uTorrent or Vuse (previously called Azureus, which is what i use.)

LW 5 is not as good at hosting large quantities of files for sharing. Music & image files slow it down. Also old preferences folder can slow it down. Look around the forums for how to delete your old preferences folder.

Oh .. and you probably would be wise to purge your incomplete files list from LW 4. Simply cancel all previous old files that will not connect & that will delete the incomplete files. Too many incomplete files will slow LW down dramatically also.
