yes when i bought this product it read download games movies and all kinds of files well why is it that all games have virouses why cant lime wire filter out these morons putting this kind of file on here i hate them

You have to be really careful with what you download (specially programs), there are lots of junk & infected files around now. See here for virus info:

Be wary of exe & zip files;) Make sure you've got a good AV program & keep it updated. Spyware & adware programs are a good idea, too. Scan files before opening!

Unfortunately, LW can't control what people share - good or bad. After a while, you'll get to know what looks suspicious. You can always use the junk filter to mark files that look weird (no bitrate, ALL CAPS, L_I_K_E T_H_I_S etc).

the thing that will save you from all, like, unwanted parasites is a thing called Avast, which is totally free. duuuuude u must be thinkin' it's bad, but no. the free version is just for home users. go to google and type avast, register, get the home version and u r totally safe. (better then AVG and Norton and all those antiviruses, and it's way way cooler, theres like a voice message going "warning a virus has been detected") anyway, this Avast saved me from at least 5 LimeWire viruses. hint - Never download things that have a small size (if u see a game such as warcraft 3 and it says the size is 400kb u can be sure it's a virus) i never open small sized files and i never get viruses, even without the help of avast...

P.S - i never tried to download WarCraft 3 so don't listen to me about that particular game...

Unfortunately Limewire.org do not advertise such things. It looks like you bought your version of LW from a scam site. Only scam site advertise free games, etc. Membership? - **WARNING**- Download p2p Clients ONLY Thru Official Sites (click on link)
