Are you refering to those files that don't show a bit rate? That is difficult to answer. Test them with your player before doing anything with them. If they play, then fine, you can burn them, otherwise they might be corrupt or ... ??? Sometimes they're fine, sometimes not. I believe this generally happens as a result of some other gnutella programs that don't translate the information correctly. Perhaps originating from a totally different p2p network. So my advice is to test 1st. But I'd tend to choose others if there's a choice. In my iTunes library, I have a no. of files with no bit rates that don't play. Some of those are ogg vorbis which is fine b/c I use a special 3rd party plug-in to play them & some might not be able to work with that plug in but ... there's some I've tested out with other players that simply don't work! |

Thank You, Lord..(no pun intended lol)...I noticed these d/l today for Van Morrison with NO bit rates and when I selected on to d/l one it didn't even start to d/l ! So, like you said, best wait 'til there are visible bit-rates ...ty I read in the FAQ about 'busy/awaiting source'...the below was the reply given,...I followed, (or tried to), do as it said but I hit a brick-wall...WHERE is the 'location' column referred to ? A good way to avoid this problem is to take advantage of LimeWire's "grouping" feature, which puts similar files into folders. After you search, click on the "location" column to sort results by location. Files marked "multiple (N) are available from N locations. Try downloading these files first. When you try one of these "smart" downloads, LimeWire will try all the locations one after the other, making these downloads much more likely to succeed. e"...the below was the reply:... |
