![]() In the archives I read that to get full albums, I need to put the words "album albw complete entire cd" in the search field for the title. However, it seems that when I search on multiple fields LW treats this as an OR iso an AND search. Is that correct? and if so is there any way to change this? Example: I searched for Title: album and Artist: Jimi Hendrix The result was a lot of Jimi Hendix singles and one album, by The Police ![]() All I want is a list of albums by Jimi Hendrix. Am I asking to much? |

![]() I have found many albums that were only avaiable as albumwraps.afaik.. until I unwrapped them and put up both the wrap and the single tracks... Certainly it's easier to d'l a wrapped album and unwrap it PROVIDED that the wrapping has been done correctly. The unwrapping progs are small and simple. |

![]() I always think it's damn lazy to just click once and get a complete album ![]() ![]() ![]() But .. it's true to say that it can take a good hour to unwrap it and relabel it and identify the tracks if it has not been correctly wrapped |

![]() if LW runs out of (singles) on an album, or if i somehow find the time to learn a new trick, i'll get the un-wrap program. i DL an albumwrap once, if you want to listen to something someone else put together, those are fine. i like to compile my own selections. it's time-consuming enough to have to edit the songs i do. i'm anal about enough stuff, like color coding all the new slim movie covers. green-action, yellow-comedy, red-horror, etc. (p.s. i can't read w/out glasses, so it's quicker to find the colors first.) large print on the new covers as well. i have a movie notebook color-coded with the same color tabs. sad, but true!! lol ![]() |

![]() me d ... does not colour coding your entire collection of everything not include just a teensy little bit of work. I need to ask you when you are arranging your collection , do you use the date method or the alphabetical first name or the ......................... ? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Thanks Only a Hobo and me d for your responses 1 - The reason I don't like puting an album together by downloading its singles is that you never know which version of the single you get, it might be a different version than the one on the album 2 - Thanks to your advise and playing around a bit, I did find a way now to find albums with a reasonable hit rate. I now put the artist name in the Artist field and the full album title in the Title field. So far so good. 3 - However, extracting ALBW files is a diffrent matter. I downloaded the Album Wrap Extractor from infamus.com, but having tried literally dozens of ALBW I keep getting the msg that "this is not a proper Album wrap" file. Now I understand that not every ALBW is the real thing, but getting no results what so ever I find a bit suspicious. Anyone know whether this thingy is for real? TIA Gert |

![]() I had exactly the same suspicions about albumwrap with an awful lot of them, until I hit a genuine one. I was over the moon to actually find one ![]() For Mac there is an application called File juicer which extracts almost anything from a file and this includes files that albumwrap extractor will not. I am sure there must be a Windows equivalent of File Juicer, but I'm not sure what. btw I am really OAH but the forums have been a bit strange recently ![]() ![]() |
