Does LW use other networks? or only gnutella 1? |
Gnutella 1, you sound like a Shareaza user. That's right! It might potentially use other networks afaik in the future, but it would no doubt have control over not using 2 networks at the one time which of course means sacrificing the offerings of one netork for the other(s). Actually Raza is a typical example of how using multiple networks at the one time doesn't work, due to its affect on others trying to communicate (upld/downld) with it in that particular network. It means at least one network suffers if one or more is used at the same time as others. |
actually , i've been using kazaa-lite but had to ditch it after realizing that all the mods have ad-wares. i'm looking for a new home, new client and i discovered that there is a network called gnutella 2 and now i'm even more confused , i dont know how many networks are there and what clients to use , i only that limewire alone will not do because it doesn't support Hebrew , a language i use for searchings as well. |
Are you sure it doesn't support Hebrew? I thought there was already a Hebrew view option. I don't know Hebrew. A quote from verdyp who does lots on the language front for LW: "You may help by looking at the "Help translate LimeWire" page (available in the "View->Change Language" menu of Limewire, or accessible from the LimeWire website. See also my signature below for a direct link to it. Once the Turkish translation will be more complete, it will be released again with LimeWire. Unfortunately, Limewire does not have the necessary resources to provide these translations itself, so if users want them, they can help by providing them. This remark also applies to other languages..." |
