 LW Metadate comp. to BS/Gnotella? Hiho! If I understand that right, LM 1.8 supports MP3 Metadata! Is this only for other LW users? I am using BS, and the Metadatas of LW Users are not shown! Only Files from BS and Gnotella show the Bitrate! Is this a bug, or is this planed so?  |

| LimeWire is the only client to send and parse XML-based metadata now, but I believe other vendors have plans to do so in the future. The metadata format that we use is not proprietary; it was developed with the help of other members of the GDF-- including BearShare--and is published on www.limewire.com. The bitrates in current BearShare and Gnotella respones are somewhat of a stopgap solution. We do actually parse and display these format, but we don't send them in responses. |
