I tried to uninstall limewire and after it was uninstalled, I continuously got an error message from the Java runtime environment that said it could not start limewire (even though I uninstalled it). After that, I got irritated and uninstalled the Java, and now I get an error message from the Limewire Launcher that says it is unable to load the Java, and to reinstall it. This pops up again about a minute after I close it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need Java Runtime Enviroment for a lot of things. Not just Limewire. You need to reinstall it

a lot of people recommend doing it manually, but you can choose an automatic install. just press the link from the page if you choose that option

Maybe it would be a good idea to try downloading Limewire too since the problem could be in the installer. Download the exe not the online installer

I know I could get rid of the problem by re-installing limewire and Java, but the biggest reason I un-installed limewire was so that it would not be on my computer anymore. I want to get rid of limewire and the error.

If You keep getting messages like that, then you are either infected by a virus or you have made a mistake when uninstalling it. If the reason you tried to uninstall in the first place was bacause of limewire opening by itself, then definetly read LOTRs' post
