![]() Hi there (if you are in the UK) I have NTL Freedom, Its broadband via my BT line (no cable in my area). I pay £17.99 per month for a 1meg connection but it's unlimited (not fair usage but really unlimited). I also get cheap NTL phone calls. Really good service and the Customer Service team are great if there are any problems. xxxDxxx |

![]() I'm not from the UK but I can show you a list of those to avoid; see the link at the bottom of the 1st post here ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire BTW there is a thread on the forum about isp's that don't block, but I don't know how up to date it is. It's a Sticky in one of the sections, I can't remember which one. ![]() KathW "might" be able to help here! Send her a pm. ![]() thanks "lotr" the link was useful my friend also found it useful as he found out his provider on the list, i looked but could not find the other thread you mentioned anyone know where it is, i am in uk by the way sorry forgot to mention that. uswitch.com recommended toucan but i have never heard of them but not sure how independant uswitch are as some more notable isp's were not even listed. checked a couple of other sites linked with magazines just confused me more didn't really help, i dont want to move and be tied in for a year only to find the same problem. |

![]() I am not sure if you clicked on the link to; http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/caps.htm from the post LOTR mentioned... But on that site it lists a lot of Internet Providers such as BT, Bulldog, Tiscali, wanado, demon and AOL(the ones I would consider to be the major players in Internet Hosting) and says they all shape the bandwidth. In fact the only 1 out of 50+ providers that doesn't cap or limit your usage seems to be a company called Eclipse Flex... On that note I would take great care in selecting your next ISP if you are an avid P2P user. After your search will you please post your findings on here as soon, I too will be looking for a UK provider that truely offers 'unlimited' brandband... Many thanks Marc |

![]() I used the Adephia Cable for a long period and was never restricted on any use of it. I now have "CLEARWRE" (clearwire). That is a wireless tower. I have found that only the piled snow on my bathroom window interferes with my signal and access to the world. Pretty darn fast too. I use "DOGPILE" for my home site. It is a great service. You can search anywhere as all 5 search sites are available. When I had trouble with filtering with other servers I went to YAHOO and then searched for the forbidden world. I had access in spite of them that wanted to limit my freedoms. Gee would spell check be nice.... |
