Is it related to this License requirement (click on link) where he might have clicked no & thus can't downld anything?

Otherwise, although it's long-winded, there's lots of advice here: See the following link & follow “ALL” the off-shoot links to find hints & extra skills to help solve the problem: To continue files downlding (click on link) & this may or may not help also Cant search well help

A couple of points there. The search engines are notably different. And should he go backward, then his incomplete files would refuse to load. Though you could force them back through resuming via the incomplete folder in the Library window. But the answer is no! LW is a progressive program. It makes changes in accordance with changes in the gnutella network & most other gnutella client programs follow suit in an agreed way to keep trying to improve the network without it being slowed down by traffic. Keeping old versions around would be retrogressive & anti-progressive for the network as a whole. But I agree, the 4.8.1 version was a mighty good version. I've just been trialing out the 4.10.8 version & although I only use Any Type searches for searching audio artists, I've only been getting those artist results back in my search results. I thought there was something wrong at 1st. lol :D But LW has come a long way to be able to achieve that. You certainly can't get that type of result in 4.8.1 Normally you'd get a mix of artists, etc. But I must admit, in the past several months, if there's been an ugly bug, I've reverted to 4.8.1 But I might reconsider that now. But there's still a few small bugs they need to clean up at present. I presume you still have the original "Offline" 4.8.1 installer right!
