The only solution I've found previously that seemed to work was this one: delete your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included.) You may need to try both steps 2 & 3 to be sure. Also as suggested, reinstallling Java 1.5 using the "Offline" installer will probably help (after uninstalling all previousl Java versions using your Add/Remove control panel.)
