 I didn't know much about bittorrent until reading this thread. As far as Limewire is concerned, it does not keep users ip addresses atall. It shows them whilst they are on line as soon as they close Limwewire no record is kept. This does not stop authorities and others from making notes on who has been using Limewire however. I hoe this answers your question.
