Is there a way to scan before you download? Every single ******* program I have downloaded is a virus, trojan, and etcetera.

and ppl wonder why we experienced users continually advise against downloading programs and such

lol, I stopped downloading programs a long time ago. I just need a program, and I'd like to know if there's a way to possibly get it without being attacked with load of ****.

No as peerless said you want programs and games and stuff like that you take the risk of all the nasties that come with them...

Buy a mac. Then no viruses to worry about. If you're going to buy a mac, can you buy me one too. You can also go to the program site & downld a trial version or buy & downld that. That will overcome such issues. After all, who do you think breeds viruses around the network.

Don't forget to share your downloads & other material. Sharing is what p2p is all about. So uploading is just as satisfying as umm ... downlding I guess. But in certain circumstances this isn't applicable. Particularly if it's a quickie download. whoops
