Low Disk Space Message

I would like to preface this thread by saying I know little to nothing about computers, so please respond in a non-technical manner...thank you! :)

My computer recently had a virus in which Limewire would continuously open, apparently downloading programs onto my computer. When I would try to close Limewire, it would restart shortly thereafter. Once I realized what was happening, a message popped up on my computer "Low Disk Space". I ran a few anti-virus programs (Microsoft AntiSpyWare, Ad Aware, and Norton). When I ran Norton, I found what I had been looking for....there were about 1,000 porn files!

They had the following destination address: C:\documents and settings\MYNAME\Complete\NAME OF FILE

When I went to delete these files, I could not find them under my name in the documents and settings area. I tried to un-hide the file folders, and was still unsuccessful. Now I am having difficulty downloading on LimeWire. What should I do???

Thank you!

I say stop being stupid.

1. search google for AVG free. Download it. Right click the icon in the systems tray ( next to your little clock ) and selected update lots of times untill its fully done.

2. Run a scan and delete them all.

3. Stop using limewire. if its causing you so much trouble. Stop using it. or fix it and then scan every download before opening it.

Low Disk Space

This low disk space thing can be a problem, if you've tried antivirus stuff, make sure limewire is shut down, look in Windows explorer/my computer in your Limewire folders. look for the "incomplete" folder, go into it and delete every file in it (dont worry it wont break) ONLY THIS FOLDER THOUGH!! then empty your recycle bin. that should be it.
You see, lime wire keeps all the files you've ever tried to load in this "incomplete" folder- even the complete ones! and thats a lot of disk space friend:, by emptying it you clear the history.

Purging the incompletes now & again certainly doesn't do any harm. But the adjoining files listed in the downld window should also be removed in that case. Don't forget if you preview a file, a preview file is created in the incomplete folder. For videos, this can mean considerable space. But in your case, cleaning out the incompletes might clean some garbage away.
