A friend copied his version of limewire pro on to a cd and gave it to me because of my interest in downloading music. He did not tell me that to receive any technical support, updates, etc. that an email address would have to be provided. What can I do?

1st thing you need to do is read the forum rules Forum Rules (click here). 2ndly, do you really expect LW pro support for free? Your friend's gesture was nice, but doing so risks having his own support cancelled. Gadam, LW Pro is only $18.88 US, I mean how many Big Macs can you buy with that. Better to save getting so fat & support a bunch of programmers who offer their program copyright free, offer it for anybody to do their own version. Pro is almost like a donation to their on-going development. They offer Basic for FREE, how do you think they make an income & support themselves? Miserly is "the" topic of this thread!
