search function sucks

I searched for a movie by a specific name. The search function returned over 100 hits but not one of themm even had the single worn name of the movie anywhere in the titles. What good is this?

Try using the All Types, rather that just Video. Here are some tips for better searching

If the search re***** aren't what you're looking for, try varying your search terms.

I know you're trying to help but how much more direct can you get than entering the name of what you want? If the search doesn't respond properly to that how can anybody anticipate what it will do? I got mostly porn when I entered the title I wanted. Should I try entering "Debbie Does Dallas" and expect to get my movie. I'm really not trying to be a smart *** here. I just don't see what good this search function is if you have to try to trick it into working.

The limewire search is a strange beast .. and it helps to know it a little bit. Try entering slightly different tems into different windows and you will come up with different results. We don't write the programme we just have a fair amount of experience in using it.

please realize too that there are programmes and organizations out there who feed false search results into the network automatically. The junk filter is a useful aid to removing many of these results, and yes a little trickery can help you towards getting the results you want. Experiment a bit and see what happens:)

ram1009,
If you're getting heaps of porn, you can go to tools > options > filters > keywords. Tick ignore adult content & apply.

This should filter out some of the porn.

People are just trying to help here. Maybe I should've said "Work it out for yourself"?

When it comes to eliminating porn in searches, I've put words that are commonly found in these titles in the filters keyword box. Ever since I've done that I rarely get porn in my searches.:)
