I have downloaded limwire about 3 times because of the firewall blocking all of my searches. This was the last time i downloaded it and i read up on the forum and figured out how to get rid of my firewall problems. Now that i have that out of the way the connection quality jumps from all greens bars all the way down to none. I dont know what to do about that and it is affecting my searches again. Looks like another frustrating problem. Can anyone help me out?

Make sure you're set up properly. Do the port test & see what result you get.

Who is your ISP? Find out whether they block or filter p2p. Has LW worked ok in the past?

I just did the test and it said the test worked. And yes the firewall icon is gone that was over the world icon. But yet it starts out at all green bars when i open LW and after a few minutes it just drops down to all red and doesnt come back up to green.

Within LW go tools > options > speed. Tick disable ultrapeer capabilities, apply.

If that doesn't help, delete your preferences folder as shown here
