suddenly none of my searches are coming up???

I downloaded Pro about a month ago and things have been fine until last week. I use an airport card and connect to wireless network which was down for a week. When it came back up none of my searches would come up. I am not sure if it is a problem with my port number and how can I get around that? I also am having problems getting support from the website, I get a loop-like system that never goes anywhere. I read someone's same complaint and they said you should get two emails from limewire, the second with a help link. I have only received one. I think my port is blocked, what can I do???
Thanks!

Do you see the brick wall in front of the globe as the icon image sample below shows?

Have you checked this for checking your firewall & making sure UPnP is enabled for your wireless system & airport? Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

1. What brand & model number of devices are you using?

2. Did you enable UPnP on your Airport? (it's actually a little different to UPnP.)

3. Which operating system are you using? I'm guessing you're using mac OSX right? Which version?

4. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

yes, i have mac 0sx 10.3 9
the test worked. i have my firewall on Gnutella/limewire 6346 and if i try to go to new and choose it from the list it is not there. I am not sure if i enabled UPnP. how do i? where is it?
I have limewire 4.0. does this help?

also, i have the up manually put. hould the listening port be the same?

Lord of the Rings March 16th, 2006 06:26 AM

What do you mean up manually put? Listening port is generally the same, however, if you're using UPnP then it doesn't matter.

Are you attempting to use UPnP or manual port forwarding? Are your devices manually port forwarded?

Did you see the link I gave which has a special section dealing with setting up UPnP on devices? There's one also for Airport except it's called (NAT-PMP).

If you already have a setting for gnutella/LW then you don't need to create a new one. See OSX Firewall settings which is for Tiger but there's not much difference.

I am using manual port forwarding. I did go to the website. when i try to port forward, i go to utilities, then airport admin., there is no base station to select. this is on the port forwarding website for airport extreme.

You do have this option NAT-PMP setting instructions for Airport

Else manual port forwarding might be safer. Airport port forward instructions but if you don't have the base station option then see alternative instructions; 1. Set up Port Forwarding on your Airport (don't choose dmz! Choose port 6346), or this link 2. And choose one such as one of the bittorrent set of instructions but use port 6346, or this one Another instruction option without base station

Is the Airport the only connection device you have?

yes it is. it was workong fine until about two weeks ago. we lost our connection for about a week and when it came back on, limewire wasnt working. thats why i thought maybe they blocked their port...??
