![]() I have a question that concerns copyright laws. If you haven't heard it on the news/paper/internet the "The Recording Industry Association of America" is cracking down on people who download music, or use "unauthorized peer-to-peer services" such as eDonkey, Kazaa, LimeWire and Grokster. Ive always thought that since its a peer-to-peer services its was somewhat legal. My main problem is how would they catch you, second what is limewire's policy concerning this, and what are you doing to fight this or bring this issue up. Read this jsonline report I found one www.jsonline.com http://www2.jsonline.com/onwisconsin...t04/270718.asp Since I do live in Wisconsin it really does concern me that I could get a knock on my door or phone called saying the RIAA are suing me or my kids for somthing they downloaded ages ago or something more recent. Could you guys shed some light on this subject it would be great. Its a really important subject for those major downloaders, kinda makes you think twice. Thanks for your time -Jim/music loving parent |

![]() were not really allowed to talk about that here really.. but lots of people in the United States are doing it, and in other countries where it's illegal. they catch you by your internet provider. the whole legal side of things is mostly just that anything copyright protected is illegal to download. |
