Default files not being saved?

sorry to ask but i couldnt find info in other posts. i am just a beginner with limewire.

i have downloaded an audio file to the 'my music' folder on my computer and its there under 'audio' in the limewire library but not under the 'my music' folder, additionally if i manually go to that folder where the path directs and try to open that file with a media player or something it is not there.

basically it only exists if i have limewire open and then only under the 'audio' tab under 'saved files' in the main 'library' tab of limewire. ie im not sure if it has actually been saved on my computer as a file- there is also no way to right click and save or anything so i assume it is on my system but why can only limewire see it?

sorry if its a dumb question but im really confused please any advice would be appreciated thanks

Windows Saved Folder works in mysterious ways. The file actually gets saved a level up from the Shared folder or whatever you renamed it as or selected to downld to. After a time, LW will move it from this location to the selected downld folder. So, point your cursor at the Saved Files Audio folder & see what directory location it shows. Else, use the Explore button & select the file & move it manually (drag & drop) to your prefered location.

thanks lotr i actually sorted it out - it had been saved at the bottom as a file whereas all the other mp3s (due to itunes 'organising' feature) had been arranged in folders so i didnt think of looking at the bottom of the page and expected limewire would have put it in a folder also... thanks for the prompt reply and sorry for being a dumbass..
