codecs in VLC and WMP
 

I have a problem with video codecs. I've downloaded a lot of the ones listed in the "sticky" thread, including "all in one" ones, but in some videos I have problems. On a few of my videos, I will get audio with no video in media player and classic. Then I try VLC, and get video with no sound. Anybody know what the problem is?

Also, VLC sometimes continues to play the sound of a video long after I close it. I think it plays the sound all the way to the end of the clip.

Have you tried the XP codec pack for WMP? There's a link here

As for VLC, I don't know! It's supposed to have built in codecs. Have you tried running the VLC installer again? Or you could check out their forum. Use their search, you might find an answer that way

ogg_vorbis_3_plus (0x6771) Ogg Vorbis
 

Anybody have this codec? I can't find it anywhere. This is an audio codec. As it stands I can play video with no sound. Gspot says "WAVE_FORMAT_OGG_VORBIS_3_PLUS"

Fixed!! I got Ogg Vorbis CODEC for MSACM 0.0.3.6 from
here .

This one should go in the sticky thread, since it's hard to find. It fixes avi files with ogg sound.
