Can Download But Not Play Audio Files

Have Been Using Limewire To Download Mp3's But, I've Noticed That And Mp3's Lately With The (# ) And A Number Before Or After The Audio File Can Not Be Played For Some Reason. I Thought It Might Be Some Type Of New License Agreement That I Missed In Order To Get These Particular Downloads To Play. Can Anyone Help With This ... I Don't Have This Problem If The (#) Is Not Contained In The Download.

What does that mean? A number in the file name or stuck inside the file data?
