3 is the maximum for the free version of LW. LW Pro allows up to 5. I suspect this function is only useful if you're having problems reaching the maximum. They're not refered to as hosts but peers or ultrapeers who help you connect to the gnutella network. If you're connected healthily then it's of no use.

If you're having problems finding sources to downld from, then that's most likely due to your search skills.

Thanks for the reply.

Would you have any suggestions of how to improve one's search skills?

I've spent quite alot of time 'searching', especially in regards to DVD movies - and more often that not the movie title is not related to the movie content whatsover (porn being the major offender here). I know of the programs used to view movies before they're complete, but this seems to be a common occurance. And with such limited search results to begin with, my faith in LimeWire is dwindling. Please, any help whatsoever is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Cool dvd film searching

very few people have the system or the bravery (they are illegal you know) to hold and share films
only ever load films with an AVI extension and preferably DIVX in the name.
in fact try looking for "Divx" youll find a few
also note how many people have it - if its between 1 and 5 it'll probably be fake or trash quality. the best ones normally have about 20+ connections

picking one with loads of connections doesnt mean its busy it actually allows more machines to download the film at once
oh and if you havent got a divx player - get one - if you search
user 172189112196:51028 host thats a full working version

but i think its still free on the net check divx.com (i think)
