Can not delete java update

Hello I am new to the forum and having trouble conecting. I see I'm not alone. I am trying to delete j2se runtime environment 5 update thru add/remove programs and I get this error; Internal error 2753 regutis. can I get around this error and delete this. I have the directions to delete java, close down lw, delete .limewire, uninstall lw, restart pc, reinstall jre, then reinstall lw. I have xp, DSL,I do not think I use a router. I need to delete all java and I am getting that error as I mentioned before and I'm not smart enough without the help from someone on this one. Thanks to anyone who could help.

Turn off all java programs including your browser before uninstalling Java.

Do you have any more suggestions

Well ... try installing the Java 1.6 beta as it's already had great reviews & performance http://java.sun.com/javase/6/download.jsp JRE "Offline" version which is a 15.72 MB downld.

Pity you can't uninstall the other versions. Did you try to do it in SAFE mode (reboot in safe mode.)

BTW you might want to take a look at this utility Crap Cleaner as it will help to clean out your registry & is free & safe to use. ;)

I have forgoten how to start in safe mode, do I try and delete
Java2 runtime environment,sev1.4.0-03 and j2se runtime environment 5.0 update 1, when in safe mode? Limewire has emailed me and I did this; no luck
I closed everything I could think of but to no avail I could not delete those 2 programs. I deleted .limewire folder. I also deleted all folders containing Java. After restarting PC I downloaded Java beta [jre] and re-downloaded Limewire . I have called my isp and they say they have no filters on sharing file programs. Limewire just did not connect for me when I opened it 4 days ago. I have tried the force port forward but after I set up the static address and inter that address in my browser I do not get the window that prompts me to enter username and password so I did not get anywhere with that. Hank you if you can help.

Which is the Java 6 to download: JDK or JRE?

When I tried the JDK, my Limewire, which is already consuming 99% of my CPU, stated: "Limewire is unable to read Java", and would not open.

So I have gone back to Java 5 and am using the pretty good FSR program http://www.filesharingrevolution.com/ for downloading music and video.

I hope Limewire come up with a proper fix soon. In my experience, Limewire support has not been too good.

try installing the Java 1.6 beta http://java.sun.com/javase/6/download.jsp JRE "Offline" version which is a 15.72 MB downld. Delete java 5 first.
