I was doing the "What's New" search in Limewire Basic when i came across Limewine Pro. So i downloaded it, i later visited this site to find that it was not infact FREE, SO, am i in the wrong by downloading Limewire Pro for free???

I'm wondering, where did you get the basic version from in the first place? If, as I assume, from the official LW website, then I'll take your question rather cynical than serious. And if not, well pal, you got your lucky day by not catching an ugly virus, some malware or even worse from downloading an .exe or.zip file from the network.........everything else is a matter of character, ain't it???

considering the use most people put limewire to, the programmers dont exactly have a right to feel disapointed that someone might do that, so what it comes down to is your own morals, whether you continue to use it, pay for it or go back to the nagware version.

There are very few of us here whom could pass judgement on someone else's use of Limewire basic to breach copyright regulations.

id feel sorry if u got a virus because exe or programs usually have viruses and you got limewire pro for free because someone shared it and you downloaded it from them. but you usually have to pay over 20.00 for it. anyways i hoped i helped

Sending LW a few buck every few months is supporting the program so that they keep on developing it and letting people get it free.

They dropped the ad support and hope they can raise money to keep on developing, by offering a Pro version.

Sheesh! Don't "donate" unless you want to help the project continue, but don't take away the little that they get from Pro. Use the Basic instead: there's really not that much difference between the two.

Whatever you do, try to do something that will help the project develop. Why would you want to help the many powerful groups who want LW to be shut down?
