how do i convert normal cd to mp3
 

my partners mum does not have the internet. but wants to convert normal cd to mp3 for some reason. is there a program i can d/l for her.:confused:

Most programs that can play mp3's can also convert to mp3. You have a wide choice. Best mp3 encoder type is Lame.

Some popular players: dBpowerAMP, - 2. WinAmp, - 3. Quintessential (QCD), - 4. iTunes
You may need to downld extra plug-ins for some of these to get the lame encoder.

The best ripping tool is Exact Audio Copy (EAC) and the Lame encoder for encoding mp3 (Get version 3.97 Final)

Use google to find guides on setting them up correctly, and don't forget the drive offset correction.

It takes a while to set up, but you only have to set it up once and then save the profile. If you have internet it connects to the FreeDB to get the (in most cases, like 99% of the time) correct tags for the mp3 files, saving you a lot of time.

EAC is the far superior ripping tool for Windows

Downside: This is a Windows only tool, so if you are on a Mac then you need something else.
