Default What is Hits on my Library page??

Ok I turned on my Limewire today, and opened some new folders for my
1100+ mp3s to be shared. I have a huge library of music going back to the fifties and lot of the titles are obscure little ones that most people aren't aware of.. BUT within 15 minutes all my titles had ' hits on them' some were over 20 some were were over 50 etc,,. Question is : I CAN"T believe that people were looking for these titles and found mine in ,, they didn't download any, just quizzed them only.. How can this be? Were they really hits or just hits in the sense that they were on available on Limewire only??

Hits means how many times the file has been displayed as a search result. But remember the way LW finds search results (not always the exact file you're looking for, often heaps of other files with just a common word in the title etc!). So... doesn't mean that the number of hits shows how many times people were searching for your files

Hope I haven't confused you

just to add to Birdy's points: a hit will register if any part of the file name (3 letter min), metadata, or path responds to a query

So if someone had a search for "need love .mp3" all mp3's would register a hit , but you wouldn't see which files matched.

Look to the uploads/completed column to see how many parts of the file were attempted/completely uploaded.
