click " download" get "sponsored site" Hi folks. I am trying to download a movie from the 1940s which is listed as having 108 sources. When I right or left click it I am sent to an Amazon.com "sponsored site" web-page selling the movie. It has a bogus ID number that bitzi has no data for. Is this part of Limewire to send us to sponsored sites? Or is is some sort of breach in the systems integrity? thx -cougar |
LimeWire has no control over the content of the Gnutella network. |
click"download" get "sponsored site" "LimeWire has no control over the content of the Gnutella network." OK,thanks Grandpa. I guess the gist of my concern is; Does this happen often? Being a computer "newbie" I found it unsettling to be wisked away to some unknown website without my prior knowledge or approval.I was worried that I might pick up something bad there. I think from now on I will check with bitzi on all files considered for download and I will contribute my own info to this great utility.(although as mentioned,in this case bitzi had no data but next time I will recognize the fake ID #)-thx again-cougar |
