I used to have kazaa and it messed up my computer twice, now my comouter is fixed and working great.

I am a little nervous about limewire,

I want to know is it ok, or is it filled with spyware and viruses like kazaa was.

The LimeWire program doesn't contain any adware/spyware/viruses ect. It is the content being shared that contains the adware/spyware/viruses ect, and LW doesn't control what is being shared. The Basic version of LW which is free has a window asking you to purchase Pro but you can close it and you won't see it again until you restart the program.

It is a good prog. You need to be smart about what you download and have a good anti-virus running and up to date. This thread has a lot of good info in it: WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!.
