If you have LW opened and connected to the network without a firewall being detected, you should be able to click on "Direct Connect" and there your IP (if you mean IP with "host number") should be displayed.

ok thanks...but how do i get into limewire without a firewall?

Well, just open LW (clicking on the icon on your desktop) and then let it connect.
As soon as the brick wall in front of the small globe (left bottom corner) has disappeared, you can click on "Direct Connect" (one of the 3 tabs on the lower left side of the LW window)

how do i shut off my firewall? i cant seem to manage...even though i shut it off in internet connections the brick wall is still on the globe in limewire...
