Grrr, Movie Clip Help!

For the last few weeks, some MPG files, will be like say 39 seconds long. After 39 seconds they stop playing, but if I like go back to the 11 second marker or something, it will play parts that should be after the 39 second area. If I keep going back, and doing this, I can watch the whole clip, but its pointless, and not even fun to watch.

Anyone know what this is? Or how to fix it? I am preety sure I have all the newest codecs, as that hasn't been a problem.

Are you previewing the video or is it a completed download?

Complete Files, it actually has been happing a LOT latley. I don't have any virus's or spyware or anything like that. I use Avast! Virus Protection, and Windows Defender.

I don't know. You could try playing them in a different media player. VLC media player is the one that is usually recommended and is good to have as a backup. If it plays in that one then it was probably a codec problem. Other than that i don't know:confused:.

Edit: Could be you've been d/ling corrupt files. There are a lot of them. Try looking up the file with Bitzi first. How to use Bitzi Web Lookup .. & How to use Magnet Links & Direct Connect/Browse/Chat

Alright, I'm gunna try this out. WMP plays it, but it .. I dunno. Its wierd. I explained it as well as I can. Its only a 39 second clip, but I know its longer. I go back wards to a diffrent point after its done, and plays parts that would be after it finished. It should be around a 17 minute clip O_o.

Yea it works on VLC .. I wonder whats up O_o.

My guess would be codecs. I've had pretty good luck with this one for wmp: XP Codec Pack 1.3.0

Well that didn't fix the WMP player problem :(

At least I got it working tho ...
